These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Microclaw ("the Service"), provided by Microclaw ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Microclaw is an AI assistant for Microsoft 365 available in two deployment options. The Standard plan runs on Microclaw's infrastructure — you install it from AppSource and sign in with your Microsoft account. The Self-Hosted plan deploys into your own Microsoft Azure subscription. In both cases, the Service connects to your Microsoft 365 environment via the Microsoft Graph API using delegated authentication — it acts as you, with your permissions. You are responsible for all actions taken by the Service on your behalf.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
The Service is available through Microsoft AppSource as a paid subscription. Billing is handled by Microsoft in accordance with AppSource terms. Your subscription begins when your AppSource purchase is processed and continues on a monthly basis until canceled.
Standard plan: The AppSource subscription covers up to 1,500 messages per month. Usage beyond that threshold is charged at $0.01 per message, billed separately via Stripe. Microclaw absorbs all infrastructure and AI model costs up to the included threshold.
Self-Hosted plan: In addition to the Microclaw subscription fee, you will incur Azure infrastructure costs on your own Azure account — Azure Container Apps hosting and Azure OpenAI usage. These costs are between you and Microsoft. Microclaw does not process or receive any portion of your Azure spending. See the pricing page for typical cost ranges. There is no message cap on the Self-Hosted plan.
The Service is designed for personal productivity and business use within your own Microsoft 365 environment. You may not use the Service to access Microsoft 365 accounts or data that you do not own or have explicit authorization to access.
The Service, including the container image, system prompt, and all underlying software, is proprietary to Microclaw. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service. You may use the Service solely as permitted by these Terms.
Your Microsoft 365 data remains yours. Microclaw claims no ownership over any content in your Microsoft account.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The data handling properties differ between plans — Standard plan data transits our servers (encrypted in transit, not stored after session ends); Self-Hosted plan data stays entirely within your own Azure infrastructure. Please read the Privacy Policy for the full description applicable to your deployment plan.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable.
The Service uses AI to interpret natural language and take actions in your Microsoft 365 environment. AI systems can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing actions taken by the Service, particularly write operations such as sending emails, creating events, and modifying files.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Microclaw will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Microclaw harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or actions taken by the Service on your behalf.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through AppSource. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Standard plan: Upon cancellation, your access to the Service ends and we retain no data. Self-Hosted plan: Upon cancellation, your container continues to run in your Azure subscription until you choose to remove it — we do not have the ability to remotely disable your container.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify AppSource subscribers of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.
