Support articles are split by plan. If you're not sure which plan you have: if you installed Microclaw from AppSource without setting up an Azure subscription, you're on the Standard plan. If you deployed Microclaw into your own Azure subscription, you're on the Self-Hosted plan.
Microclaw is installed entirely through Microsoft AppSource — no Azure subscription or IT setup required. After you install and complete the sign-in flow, open Microsoft Teams, find the Microclaw app in your left sidebar or search for "Microclaw" in the Teams search bar, and send it a message. It will walk you through granting access to your Microsoft 365 account on first use.
I installed Microclaw but I don't see it in Teams.
After installing from AppSource, it can take up to 5 minutes for the app to appear in Teams. Try searching for "Microclaw" in the Teams search bar. If it still doesn't appear after 10 minutes, try signing out of Teams and back in, or reinstalling from AppSource.
I'm getting an authentication error or the sign-in prompt isn't appearing.
Make sure you're signed into Teams with the same Microsoft account you used to install Microclaw. If the sign-in prompt doesn't appear on your first message, try sending the word "sign in" to the Microclaw bot directly.
Microclaw isn't responding to my messages.
Check that the Microclaw app is still installed in your Microsoft 365 account — go to appsource.microsoft.com, sign in, and confirm Microclaw appears under your installed apps. If it's installed and still unresponsive, contact us below.
I want to enable or disable specific permissions.
Send the message "settings" or "permissions" to the Microclaw bot in Teams. Read permissions are on by default. Write permissions (send email, create calendar events, complete tasks, etc.) are off by default and can be turned on individually.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Microsoft AppSource. Go to appsource.microsoft.com, sign in, go to your purchased apps, and cancel from there. Your data is deleted from our servers within 30 days of cancellation.
Microclaw runs as a container inside your own Microsoft Azure subscription and is accessed through Microsoft Teams. Setup takes about 15 minutes. The main prerequisites are a paid Azure subscription and a Microsoft 365 account. If you purchased through AppSource, the provisioning is handled automatically when you click through the setup flow. After setup, open Microsoft Teams, find the Microclaw bot, and say hello — it will walk you through the rest.
I installed Microclaw but I don't see the bot in Teams.
After Azure provisioning completes, it can take up to 5 minutes for the Teams bot to become available. Try searching for "Microclaw" in the Teams search bar. If it still doesn't appear after 10 minutes, check that the deployment completed successfully in your Azure portal.
I'm getting an authentication error.
Make sure you are signed into Teams with the same Microsoft account you used to install Microclaw. On your first interaction, Microclaw will prompt you to sign in with Microsoft — this grants it access to your M365 account. If the sign-in prompt doesn't appear, try sending the message "sign in" to the Microclaw bot.
Microclaw isn't responding to my messages.
Check that the container is running in your Azure portal (look for the Microclaw container under Container Instances or App Service, depending on your deployment). If the container shows as stopped, restart it from the Azure portal. If the container is running and the bot still doesn't respond, contact us below.
I want to enable or disable specific permissions.
Send the message "settings" or "permissions" to the Microclaw bot in Teams to open your permission settings. Read permissions are on by default; write permissions (send email, create calendar events, etc.) are off by default and can be turned on individually.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Microsoft AppSource. Go to appsource.microsoft.com, go to your purchased apps, and cancel from there. Your Microclaw container will continue running in your Azure account until you choose to remove it — canceling the subscription only stops the Microclaw software license billing. Your Azure infrastructure costs are separate and managed directly in your Azure account.
If your issue isn't covered above, email us at support@microclaw.app. For Standard plan users, please include your Microsoft account email and a description of what you're seeing. For Self-Hosted plan users, please include your Azure subscription ID as well.
